Step 2: residence permit in Dresden
Office: Ausländerbehörde (foreigners' authority) of the City of Dresden; appointments via termin.auslaenderbehoerde@dresden.de.
- How: email termin.auslaenderbehoerde@dresden.de with your name, date and place of birth, your visa end date or arrival date, and the purpose of your stay (study). You get an appointment and the document list by email.
- Typical documents: passport with visa, biometric photo, registration confirmation, enrolment certificate, proof of health insurance and proof of money.
- Fees: check the current fee with the office; first permits cost about €100 in most German cities.
